2011-01-05 SOUTH ATLANTIC, Dinner Tides Tim Jarvis

Dinner in Tides with Tim Jarvis, British Polar Explorer, Master's Degrees in Environmental Sciences and Environmental Law. He recently retraced Sir Douglas Mawson's polar journey of 1912-13.

He is planning to retrace Sir Earnest Shackleton's "double" - sailing a replica James Caird 22.5 foot boat 1,300 Km = 800 miles, from Elephant Island, Antarctica to South Georgia, climbing over the mountains to the whaling station Stromness. National Geographic is one of the sponsors and his Patron is Alexandra Shackleton, granddaughter of Sir Earnest.
