2011-01-08 SOUTH GEORGIA, Grytviken Town

We took the tender to Grytviken, the former whaling station established in 1904 and closed in 1965 and is now a ghost town but a growing tourist attraction as it is steeped in polar history.


The bleak contrast of the Ship's tender, the seal and rusting anchor and boat.
